Last night was uneventful. Thankfully. We had steady, constant winds in the 20-25k range all night and with 2 reefs in the main and the genoa rolled out halfway we were making a solid 8+ knots all night. This morning the wind has definitely started to abate and now, at 9:30am we have 15-20 with some gusts to 22k. The trend seems downward and the glass is rising so we are definitely coming under the influence of the big high (which was to our West when we left NZ).

At 9am we took out both reefs and are now sailing with full main and genoa in 15-20k from the SSW. We are making about 6k over ground and are very comfortable.

In the evening the wind dropped and turned more to the South at the same time. By 7pm we are looking at 11k from the South and we are motor sailing due North at 5.5k.
