August 6

This morning we left Baie d'Avea and motored up the lagoon and out the pass heading for Taha'a. The sky was mostly clear and the wind was 10-15 from the ENE. The swell outside the pass was significant at 4-6ft and Jonah became seasick about half way out. The distance to Taha'a is about 20nm and we arrived at about 1:45 pm. Our first anchorage pick turned out to be a bit rolly with swell from the pass wrapping around the motu we were behind. We pulled up and moved a bit further North where it was less rolly.

We have no idea how long we will stay here, but most likely less then 2 days. After this we want to move down to Raiatea and find a nice spot for diving.
