The Queen Kane departed Pago Pago this evening at app. 5pm local time (04:00UT) and is heading for Apia, Independent Samoa. We spent the day preparing to depart, we took on diesel fuel finally, returned our rental videos and filled our water tanks. We left in about 10-14k wind from the ENE and at 6pm we are 4nm out of Pago harbor. We are sailing in 10-12k wind on a heading of 208M. We are making about 5.5k over ground and have about 76 miles to go to our destination. We expect to arrive tomorrow morning just after dawn.
