December 24
Today we moved the boat to the islet (motu) of Anemwanot about 4.5
miles away on the Northern side of the lagoon. We left at about 10am
and we're anchored before 11am. The weather is spotty with some sun
breaks but the rain which has dogged us for the last 2 weeks persists.
Yesterday it rained torrentially all day. This morning we had bright
sunshine then after we arrived at Anemwanot we had one rain shower
come through before it cleared again.
There are about 8 other boats here and there should be more before
tomorrow. We are having a Christmas "put luck party" ashore
tomorrow and as is usual in such an event everyone cooks something to
bring. The captain is making a lasagna tomorrow morning, it should be
fun.
