September 26Today was very relaxing, we didn’t do
much. In the morning Jonah had school and I read a book. After school we went
snorkeling and then to the beach. It was very nice, a lovely beach, completely
to ourselves. The island with the beach is Ratoua and it is very small. The big
island, Aore, is separated from it by a small channel. We walked out onto a
sandbar and waded across a sand spit to a lonely little pile of sand no more
then 60yds by 40yds with twice that around it covered in one foot of azure,
clear water. A small paradise. The wind forecast for the next few days
calls for the wind to moderate and turn more from the East. This will be good

Saturday morning and head for the West coast of |
