July 20
It's raining AGAIN. We are still in Port Villa. Jordan and Jonah will
be going to the US on Thursday to visit Jordan's mom (who has recently
had an operation for Cancer and who will be undergoing chemotherapy
beginning next week) and I will be staying on the boat. We are going
to move the boat to a mooring for safety as there is nothing I can do
by myself if the anchor drags. It will be lonely without the boys. I
have no idea what the heck I will do for two weeks on my own. It's
funny because sometimes I long for time alone - I guess you have to be
careful what you wish for because...
Jonah has a pal, Jack from the boat Castile, and they are playing
which is great as there is little to do in the tropics in the rain on
a boat. Jack is 7 and they seem to be having a great time. Its great
for Jordan and I as we are getting pretty tired of playing Monopoly
and Uno.
Jonah's tooth is still infected. I might try to get it pulled here
before he goes home and then have the orthodontist in the US put in
the spacer. I am going to talk to the French dentist again tomorrow.
Valere, a boat we met in New Caledonia, showed up yesterday and we had
Craig, Carol and little Moorea over to have dinner. They are really
nice people and we had a lovely time.
