June 30

We left Kawanak today at about 9:15am in calm conditions and good visibility. Clouds can be seen to the North but we have only to make 10 miles to our next anchorage so we are going. Winds are 8-10k from the East and the sea in the lagoon is calm (the Calvados Chain is 100nm long and surrounded by fringing reef all around, like a giant lagoon the size of Long Island). Our destination is Kivikivi Lagoon at Pana Kuba island just to the North of Pana Numara Island.

At 11:15am we entered the lagoon (within the Calvados lagoon) and anchored off Pana Kuba Island in 38ft of water. It is very beautiful and we are going to enjoy it here.
