November 26We had a pleasant afternoon and evening, doing nothing much. This morning we left at 7:30am. Weather conditions are calm and fair with bright sunshine and only about 10% cloud cover. Winds are light at 6-8k from the NNE. Our objective today is the island of Middle Percy about 22 miles to the ESE. We are motor sailing at about 6k with both main and genoa out. At 10am we have shut down the engine and are sailing at about 4.5k over ground in about 8-10k from the ENE. Seas are very, very calm and it is very, very hot. Percy island is only 7 miles away now. By 10:30am the motor is back on as the wind is down to about 5k. We anchored at about 11:15am in about 20ft of water (it appears to be dead low tide). There are 6 other boats here when we arrived 15 minutes ago and now 2 have left. Our friends on Keikamalu II are also enroute to Middle Percy and we expect to see them in a short time.
