At 12:45am we are closing with the coast of Mexico, only 28nm out of San Blas. We are motoring slowly at 4.5k so as to arrive just after dawn. There is no moon tonight so it is very dark. Winds are 8k from the NW and seas are fairly calm with a 2-3ft swell from the NW. The water temperature at this latitude has reached 81F ­ we are at 21 30N.

At 7:45am Mountain the Queen Jane anchored in Mantachen Bay after almost exactly 48 hours underway. Plans for today include cleaning up the boat, checking in with the Port Captain and Customs (required at every Mexican port unlike in most countries where it is only required when entering the country for the first time) and having a relaxing lunch.
