We departed Mantachen Bay (San Blas) at 10:15 this morning after preparing the boat for "sea". The trip South to Chacala is 20nm and we followed the beach about 2 miles off so we could eyeball the terrain looking for the unmarked (on the chart) bay of Chacala. The weather is very warm and hazy, the water temperature is 80.5F and the sea was extremely calm with no wind at all.

We anchored at Chacala at about 1pm and after stowing our gear we launched the dinghy to row into town and report to the Port Captain (who was not there).
