Happy New Years and Feliz Nuevo Ano! Today is New Years Day 2000, the dawn of the (Real) New Millenium! The Queen Jane departed Punta de Mita at about 9am bound for Chacala. The wind is light at 4k and the swell is about 5ft from the NW. The ride, under power, has been somewhat rolly, as was last night at the anchorage.

We arrived at Chacala at about 1pm Mountain time (local time) and proceeded immediately to the beach for lunch. Upon our return we assembled and set the (oversized) stern anchor to keep the bow pointing into the swells (hopefully this will provide a more comfortable evening). Had trouble with the outboard motor after we set the stern anchor; it would not start!
